Richard has been curious about the human experience his entire life and went towards it through the physical and human performance side. Before Richard developed his yoga and breathwork practice he worked as a high-performance coach in Olympic sport being involved in 3 Olympic Games. However, grief and physical illness opened him up to the power of Yoga and breathwork, and they have played a pivotal role in his journey of healing and continued spiritual awakening.
Richard’s main area of passion is to support people to create positive change in their lives by opening up their inner awareness through transformational coaching and the practice of meditation and breathwork. In particular, Richard loves working to reconnect people to their energy – something Richard dismissed as nonsense for many years. Being diagnosed with an autoimmune condition of his body required Richard to understand what healing truly meant, which made him realise that when we change our energy, we change our experience of life.
Richard runs workshops (see workshop description), retreats and coach development as well as a regular speaker at internationally recognised conferences. Richard’s students include beginners and seasoned yogis as well as corporate clients and coaches in Olympic sport.
With a foundation of a sports therapy degree and master’s in strength and conditioning science, Richard is also a qualified 200H RYT, having trained with Anna Sugarman School of Yoga. Richard’s other teachers include Dr Joe Dispenza and Richard Rudd who have significantly influenced his evolution and teaching style.
